I know you write that this organization is open to anyone of any race who seeks justice, but what about us??

Good afternoon Braelin. I appreciate your message. I completely agree that Black people have been persecuted and attacked for centuries in this country. As a Black woman myself, I have often witnessed these attacks first hand. I decided to do my small part to do something about it and that is why I created this organization. This is one small step but one of many to come. The world will not change unless we proactively (and peacefully) make it change. I encourage you to take a step with me and join my organization. Here, just as with diverse races, diverse opinions and diverse points of view are always welcome. That said, our goal is generally one in the same – to help African Americans (and any disenfranchised group for that matter) gain equal access to higher education. 

And Bryson, I appreciate our DM’s and occasional talks. Yes, you are precisely right - excluding based on race would make us no better than the racists. We will never, ever do that. Also, as we talked about, if you look back at the Civil Rights Movement and the Black Lives Matter movement, you will notice that there are people of all races standing with black people against injustice.

We are the United States of America! Emphasis on the word “UNITED”. Much of this country may have been built on division and racism, but that does not have to be our future. We are stronger together!
